The Rev. Deb Oskin, EA, has been doing Clergy tax returns since 1989, when her husband left seminary to pastor a small rural congregation. She learned the tax problems and pitfalls associated with being married to a "hybrid employee" as a pastor's wife and later, as a tax professional. Deb was ordained in 2004 and started her own tax practice specializing in clergy taxes in 2011, after 12 years with a big box company. Clergy clients make up 78% of her client base. She's been teaching and presenting nationally on clergy taxation to clergy, congregational treasurers and administrators, and tax pros since 2004. Deb averages a dozen national presentations each year. Dr. Nicole D. Bradford is an experienced administrator that has spent the last 20 years dedicating her life to the improvement of student life and education. Dr. Bradford’s experience in higher education began at Huston-Tillotson College where she served as a staff member in the Upward Bound Program in 1996, and continued on to Prairie View A&M University where she served as the Developmental Reading and Writing Coordinator and managed a staff of eight faculty members while managing two developmental labs established to assist with the transition from high school into higher education. Dr. Bradford has worked in the private sector, private institutions, community colleges and state institutions. Her experiences include several years of successful progressive responsibilities in student affairs, academic affairs, budget management, grant writing, managerial experience and enrollment growth. Dr. Bradford has worked at Texas A&M University where she managed the Aggie Honor System Office under the direction of Dr. Robert Gates. Dr. Bradford has served as a staff member, faculty member, and administrator for several years and while at Prairie View A&M University she was fortunate to receive a promotion that allowed her to serve as the Core Curriculum Coordinator in the President’s Office under the leadership of Dr. James Mackin, Special Assistant to the President. In addition, Dr. Bradford has served as the Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Diversity Programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she secured a grant in the amount of $80,000 that will benefit current and future underrepresented students. After returning to Texas she served as the Academic Dean at Everest College where she managed a staff of seventy individuals which included two Associate Deans, a librarian, four department chairs, and the registrar. Dr. Bradford has also served as the Vice President of Student Development Services at Tarrant County College. She was welcomed into the TCC family by Dr. Ernest Thomas, and she provided leadership for student support services including the Counseling Center, Career & Transfer Center, Testing Center, Student Activities, Health Services, Disability Support Services, Community Outreach, and the Coordinator for Student Support Services Her most recent assignment as the Assistant Principal of Braswell High School has bestowed her with the ability to coordinate all local and state testing, participate in the development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members, confers with teachers, students, parents and community concerning educational and behavioral concerns in school, and directs preparation of class schedules, cumulative records and attendance reports. Dr. Bradford is no stranger to opposition and challenges, and she is a very passionate leader that takes pride in utilizing her experiences to motivate and encourage others. She is one of six kids, and a first generation college graduate.

This is my bio, this is me and I kindly ask you to have a read because we all go through hard times in life, no matter our job, age, sex or place in society. So where do I start? Unhappy at school, under achievement, some bullying, some hard times financially, a stressed father and a mother who was clinically depressed, oh and 4 siblings (who I have to say have all achieved professionally and personally and are wonderful people). I know I have had hard times and certainly there have been plenty of lows. I lost my father at 18 and my mother at 32 through ill health, I have had over 22 years of dealing with depression, stress and anxiety, I have been a police officer for over 16 years and in that time I have been involved in the London bombings, I have been assaulted including being stabbed, I have dealt with suicide, mental health, vulnerable people and seen things that no person should ever see. In November 2017 I hit a big wall and I had no where to go, my coping strategies had gone and I felt that I could not go on, especially with the circumstances as they were. If one part of your life is suffering but everything else is good you can get by, but if every part is suffering then it is nearly impossible to go on. So what did I do? Well I am married with two kids, I have bills and a mortgage to pay and people who rely on me, there was only one thing to do, fight back, find new strategies to cope, I was fed up with being depressed. I had to look the beast in the eyes and take it on, I knew I hat to win. I obtained professional support and decided that I had to change my life and strive for optimum well-being and this started with being honest and sharing my story. A year later I am still here, ploughing through life, having more good days than bad days. I am a father, husband, brother and uncle and I want to be the best I can be. I set goals and I have lot's of ambition. I am dealing with my mental health, building a coaching business and inspiring, encouraging and supporting anyone who wants to talk and listen. I decided to use the thing that had tried to damage my life for over 22 years and use it to make the next however many years. I use my life experience and all the skills and knowledge I have obtained in my life to inspire and motivate others. I love listening, sharing and talking to people whether it be individuals or groups, large and small. So why would you not want me to speak to you, to visit your business, public sector organisation, school, college or university? I will share my story if asked and I will talk about depression, stress management, anxiety, goal setting, work-life balance and anything else that will help. Motivational speaking, coaching, listening, empathy, sharing experiences and setting goals all assist to make a better future. They work for anyone who wants to change for the better and take control of their life I believe anyone of any age and in any situation can benefit from what I offer.

As a junior soldier in the Parachute Regiment, I had achieved my ambitions. On one evening in September 2001 I had that taken away from me. I was assaulted in my home country and then medically discharged for epilepsy. What was I going to do? Now 18 years later, I raise money for the charity ‘Help for Heroes’ by doing fundraising challenges, that’s not all, I guest speak for H4H on Pathfinder Courses and have just become the ‘Southern’ representative for their fundraising team in conjunction with ‘Tough Mudder. I produce fitness videos for their fundraisers.

I am a professional writer, performer, and educator who has devoted my career and creative life to exploring the power of writing and creative community to catalyze individual development as well as healing from trauma. In 2003 I founded Writing Ourselves Whole, a nonprofit organization that creates a powerful, safe community in which writers bear witness to one another as they give voice to their stories. I am the author of Writing Ourselves Whole: Using the Power of Your Own Creativity to Recover and Heal from Sexual Trauma (Mango, 2017). Widely anthologized, my writing has appeared in many anthologies and other publications, including Under the Gum Tree, Matador Review, Nobody Passes, The Healing Art of Writing 2010, make/shift, Visible: A Femmethology (Vol. 1), Best Sex Writing 2008 and Sinister Wisdom. I am the co-editor of Sex Still Spoken Here (with Dr. Carol Queen and Amy Butcher; San Francisco: CSC Press, 2014). I received my BA in Cognitive Science from Dartmouth College and my MA in Transformative Language Arts from Goddard College, and I have recently completed my MFA in Creative Writing (concentration in Creative Nonfiction) at San Francisco Sate University. I have presented at Stanford University, Wesleyan University, the University of California at Davis, Dartmouth College, the University of California at San Francisco, Brown University, Goddard College, the University of Oregon at Eugene, Evergreen State University, Southern Oregon University; the Power of Words/ Transformative Language Arts Network annual conference; the Femme Conference; Survivorship and the Survivorship annual conference; San Francisco Women Against Rape; Bay Area Women Against Rape; Community United Against Violence; and at many other community organizations, bookstores, and schools.
