Helen Chang is a bestselling author, speaker and entrepreneur. As the founder and CEO of Author Bridge Media, she has assisted more than 400 authors to write, brand and publish their books for credibility, revenue and raving fans. Her clients include Michael Gerber of The E-Myth books, Dani Johnson of ABC's Secret Millionaire, and Scott McGillivray of HGTV's Income Property. Her authors have landed interviews with top media, including CNN, CNBC, Fox, Forbes, The View, and Tim Ferris Podcast. With just one book, a client author launched a $100 million empire. In particular, Helen loves working with people who have experienced failure, despair and struggle, yet rose to gain success, triumph and wisdom. She is passionate about authors with innovative thinking, unique methods and visionary ideas to change the world, as well as those with quiet, heartfelt messages that could save just one person's life. Helen believes in the power of stories to transform people, whether through books, audio, or other viral media. She finds grace in helping people tell their stories, so that they can inspire others, make a difference, and ultimately, fulfill their own life purpose. Books saved Helen's life, as she grew up in a scholarly, yet emotionally abusive home. Reading stories helped her discover other worlds of adversity and inspiration and to connect to something greater than herself. She began writing poems at age five, published her first book at age eight, and grew up to become an award-winning journalist for publications including BusinessWeek, San Francisco Chronicle and MSNBC.com. Soon, entrepreneurs started asking her to ghostwrite their training courses, books, and talks which later expanded into publishing services. Author Bridge Media now takes authors from idea to published book in six months. Helen's first business book was a roller coaster ride. Finishing her first draft, she sent it in, proud of how she had shared the author's journey from shame-filled bankruptcy to satisfying multi-millionaire success. Yet, she was told that the book was "not marketable," since it did not share the author's actual methods that readers could grow from. Crawling into bed with her own shame, she chose to not give up and instead study best-selling business books and rewrite her client's manuscript. The book became a bestseller and the cornerstone of the author's international business. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, to first-generation Chinese Americans, Helen is now based in San Diego, California. She lives with her long-term boyfriend, who plays ukelele, while she dances hula.

I am an agile software development trainer, coach, and practitioner, as well as a curriculum developer, application architect, and software craftsman. With nearly twenty years of experience, I work closely with companies worldwide to help them achieve their goals in delivering business value through software. In 2006, I took my first class on Scrum with Ken Schwaber, the co-creator of the Scrum framework. Since then I have worked to evangelize Scrum and other agile frameworks, deepen my personal knowledge, and continuously improve my ability to help others understand agility. I see agile software development as a natural outgrowth of the lessons learned in the software industry, including lessons I have personally learned. I am a strong believer in the “see one, do one, teach one” road to craft and mastery, which led me to become a Professional Scrum Trainer for Scrum.org. Over the past five years I have trained thousands of students on Scrum - coders, testers, UX specialists, BAs, DBAs, PMs, managers, and C-suite executives - using experiential, immersive courses. I have also mentored and trained four other Scrum.org trainers, who went on to teach hundreds of additional students over the past three years. I have supplemented the courses I teach from Scrum.org by authoring custom curriculum and workshop material for many related concepts such as evolutionary/emergent/agile architecture, test automation, DevOps, unit testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), estimation, advanced techniques for Scrum Masters, modern Product Ownership, Continuous Integration, agile database techniques, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). My technical skills and experience include enterprise and application architecture, DevOps, test automation, cloud infrastructure, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), build and deployment automation, web development, and database modeling and development.

Michael Dermer is an entrepreneur, speaker, lawyer and founder/author of The Lonely Entrepreneur. Michael is considered the founder of not only a company, but an industry – rewarding individuals for healthy behavior. Michael left a promising law career to start IncentOne, the first company to provide rewards for healthy behavior. At the time, rewards in healthcare were not only non-existent – they were offensive. He was told over and over “we will never reward people for things they should be doing to be healthy.” After bootstrapping for a decade, his company received a large private equity investment on October 15, 2008. They had arrived. It should have been a time for celebration. Then the financial crisis hit. Ten years were gone in ten days. Bankrupt customers. Investment gone. Credit dead. Family dollars at risk. Angry investors. Family relationships on the brink. It would take two years of working 24 hours a day to save what took ten years to build. The perfect storm. It was doomed. Or was it? Today, health rewards are everywhere, he sold IncentOne to industry innovator Welltok and his company is credited with creating the health rewards industry. What resulted was not only a business success, but the discovery of a unique method on how to thrive under the pressure, chaos and burden of being the entrepreneur. The Lonely Entrepreneur was born.

Beth Smith has been empowering business owners, hiring managers and human resource directors for over a decade to interview and hire the right person the first time. She discovered the importance of the interviewing process when she made a poor hiring decision, which almost led to the demise of her first company. After launching an enormous research project so that she could learn how to conduct more effective interviews, she concluded that there is a science to interviewing. She also discovered that many managers are thrown into the nterview room, scrambling to figure out what to ask and what to listen for, instead of actually being taught how to conduct an effective interview. Beth’s mission has become to transform the world through the interview process in order to promote happy and productive work environments for both employers and employees. To do this, she created A-list Interviews. Through the research she did on the interview process and through the almost 20,000 candidates that she has interviewed, Beth developed the Response Analysis System™. Studies done on the Response Analysis System™ show that 91% of those who were interviewed and then hired based on the Response Analysis System™ are still employed by the company 12 months later. The power of this system is from the advanced ability to listen to job applicants and measure their fit into an organization both culturally and for skill level. Beth graduated from the University of Texas in 1995 with degrees in History and Social Work with a minor in English. She also studied Psychology, Philosophy, and Child Development. She has won several awards within her community and industry, such as, Women Who Make a Difference in Boulder, Business Owner of the Year, Certificates of Service for The Hill Alliance, and The Responsible Hospitality Group. She currently lives in Boulder with her family. In her free time, Beth hikes, lift weights and is a die-hard football fan. She also makes the best English teacakes on the planet!
